G’day mate, beautiful day to be an Aussie yea? With all the talent coming out of Australia the past few years, it is hard to not be a little jealous of the folks from down under. Recently we have seen the rise Australian superstar producers. Flume, Dirty South, Alison Wonderland, What So Not, the list truly goes on and on. Looking to join those ranks, and quickly succeeding in that mission, is the music don Dom Dolla.
The Australian producer has been in the music scene for years, starting off his traceable music career back in 2013 as a supporting act for Melbourne bounce legend TJR. Booking continued to appear for the artist as his sound developed, from going on tour with What So Not to closing at EDC. During this time, the artist’s production capabilities continued to improve at a rapid pace. Remix after remix were released, with one of the more popular ones (“We Can Ride”) reaching over 1.7 million streams on Soundcloud.
In the recent years, Dom has seemingly focused in on original tracks. Continuing to hone his sound, he has ventured farther and farther into the deep house genre. Very recently (eight days ago at the time of this article’s publishing) the producer released a collaboration with Torren Foot titled “Be Randy”.
Another notable recent release was, in some ways, a throw back to an earlier success. Dom Dolla teamed up with Go Freek (the original artist of “We Can Ride”) to deliver “Define”, a classic deep house tune that rings true with the genre’s roots.
North American Tour
To wrap up, we wanted to take a quick look at the artist’s North American tour. All this past July, Dom Dolla has made his way around the United States. This coming July 23rd will be the final date on the tour and we are extremely excited to send him off. House heads are in for a treat this Sunday as Dom Dolla joins us for our infamous Soundwave Series Pool Party. Spots for the Dom’s final show are still available, grab them here!
