Artist Spotlight: Henry Fong

Meet Henry Fong: the dreaded DJ. Not dreaded like he’s a frightening guy, but that he’s pretty well known for his wild dreadlocks. The young dance music aficionado hails from Florida where he discovered his passion for mixing while he attended university.

Fong began his music career DJing at nightclubs and realized that his true interest was producing his own sound and style. He released his first original track in 2010, and as he continued to release more original music he gained more momentum, which attracted the attention of notable figures in the industry, including Hardwell, Avicii, Knife Party, Skrillex and more. The recognition from DJs and fans alike has led Fong to collaborations abound and greater acknowledgment in just a few short years.

With an impressive 83 thousand followers on SoundCloud and a sick collab with MAKJ, Fong has definitely found his niche in the progressive and electro house scene. Earlier this summer he released the original track “Wine Dem” and just last month he posted “Velocity,” a collaborative effort with Futuristic Polar Bears.

Aside from working hard on refining his sound and pumping out big collaborations, Fong enjoys traveling and adventure, which is certainly fueled by his attendance at major festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo Mexico and Ultra Music Festival.

You can catch Henry Fong at Maya Day + Nightclub Friday, August 28 for a bumping night of electro vibes, dreadlocks and so much more!
