Wednesday, January 28 Feat. Capital Cities
“Opening Night” is going to be filled with energy and exuberance when Indie-Pop duo, Capital Cities, take over. The duo is best known for their 2011 smash hit “Safe and Sound” which reached No. 8 on the United States Billboard Hot 100 and whose music video directed by Grady Hall was nominated for Best Music Video at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. They have taken the pop world by storm being featured on talk shows such as The Ellen Show, The Queen Latifah Show and The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Armed with a skilled trumpet player and great dance moves, Capital Cities’ show is always fun and engaging.
Thursday, January 29 Feat. Darius Rucker
Darius Rucker gained his fame as the front-man for the Grammy Award-winning rock band Hootie & the Blowfish. After a massive career with them, Rucker decided to begin a solo country music career. Rucker has had 6 singles hit the No. 1 spot with his most famous song being his 2013 cover of “Wagon Wheel.” His rhythmic guitar roots and rock background make his style of country one-of-a-kind. He recently announced his arena-headlining tour “Southern Style” will kick off in May of this year which features CMA New Artist of the Year Brett Eldredge, as well as hot new country duo Brothers Osborne and Southern rockers A Thousand Horses. Friday, January 30 Feat. Kid Rock
2015 marks 25 years in the industry for singer-songwriter Kid Rock. He began his career as a rapper, releasing five albums between 1990 and 1997. In 1998 his career took off when he joined the rap-rock genre and eventually brought him to the rock and blues sound he is known for today. His collaboration with Sheryl Crow on the song “Picture” was his first country hit and biggest pop hit in the US to date charting at No. 4 on the Hot 100. His singles career continued with the 2007 smash “All Summer Long,” which charted at No. 1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia and his 2010 track “Born Free” which became the political campaign theme of Mitt Romney, the Republican nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 election. This show is the fastest sell-out show in Birds Nest history.
Saturday, January 31 Feat. Afrojack
Birds Nest closes it’s star-studded lineup with Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer Afrojack. Afrojack was listed as No. 7 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s of 2011, No. 9 in 2012 and again at No. 9 in 2013. Afrojack’s August 2014 collaboration with Martin Garrix, “Turn Up the Speakers”, reached the No. 1 spot on Beatport in only four days time. His Electro House sounds have brought his popularity to an international level playing at EDM festivals all over the world such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival (New York City, Las Vegas).
