Although the combination of artists sounds unlikely due to their differences in musical style, the two come together and drop a masterpiece with a sound like no other. You can hear the sounds of both producers successfully fused into a great track featuring vocals from the very talented Enya Angel.
The trance banger throws a twist on the genre by introducing a different style of sound design not normally found in classic trance. However, this boundary pushing work beats along at a steady 130 bpm that is familiar to most trance fans. The combination of nontraditional sonic work with a recognizable pulse makes for an exciting new experience.
Initially very high energy, the producers reward you with relaxed and beautiful vocal work mid way through the piece. A light guitar break down compliments the vocal breakdown. After about a minute, the track picks up traction and leads back in to the high energy “hands in the air” trance feel.
We were lucky enough to receive a few words from Darude about the process behind this amazing track. Here’s what he had to say:
“A lot of fun sitting in the studio with a producer who doesn’t do exactly what I do. Zac and I seem to like musically similar things, but stylewise we are somewhat different. Zac also is an Ableton Live guy, I’m a Logic user, so doing the whole thing in Live gave me a whole different perspective as well. We started the thing in Sydney at Ministry of Sound studio that I had reserved for me for a couple of down days during my tour in the fall of 2016 and then we continued online sending files and comments back and forth until we felt the track was done! Enya Angel’s vocals fit the track really well and bring it another whole dimension for sure, making it more melodic and emotional.”
Take a listen to the track below and let us know what you think about the new piece!
